Our National Experience

July 11th, 2014 10:28pm

We are now done with our last competition of the season. You would think we would be relieved it's over, but there is a little bit of wishing we could do it all again. We loved all of our dances this year, and not just because they did so well. We loved them because they felt more like great pieces of art that were performed with love. We had bumps in the road, not anything we couldn't overcome but bumps nonetheless. The girls showed resiliency and perseverence each and every time a problem arose. Each time they succeeded at a competition, we were all bursting with pride. I think we truly felt they grew as performers and people so much this year. Also having a faculty that is willing to say "it's gonna be great" really helps. They believe in these girls. So whether we were reformatting due to unforeseen circumstances, fixing broken zippers or coming in extra due to weather conditions, we were all on the same page. That's why I love this MADS group of teachers so much, we all are on the same page. We enjoy each others company, we willingly share music and ideas, and we believe strongly that dance gives you so many beneficial qualities. To say how thankful I am isn't enough. But thank you~ AJ, Ali Julie, Jen, Susan and Kristen. Also thank you to each and every member of the MADS team. We are already excited for next year. We can't wait to see where your talent will take you!
