Get ready for our recital! June 16th and 17th

Recital Tips!

May 18th, 2022 2:51pm

No Better Feelin'!  It's our favorite time of year and we are so excited!  Once again we will be performing on the beautiful Villa Maria College stage, and thankfully do not need to limit tickets for families.

Dress Rehearsal -  Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes early to your scheduled rehearsal and recital times. One parent only may attend the dress rehearsal. Please no siblings, grandparents etc. Mini Movers 1 and 2 and Jumpstart may arrive in costume. Dressing rooms will be in classrooms during all recitals.

Bring Everything - If you think there is even a slight chance that you may need it, bring it with you!  Make sure all of your costume performance parts, all shoes and pieces are in your bag, and ready to go prior to getting dressed for the recital. Pack extra bobby-pins, tights, band-aids, and more!

Put your name on everything - Chances are you're dancing with other individual that have the same costumes, head pieces, tights and shoes as you.  It's easy to mix things up, especially during quick changes, and in a very full dressing room.  Ensure you or your dancer are getting on stage with all the right parts and pieces by labeling everything with your name!

Know Your Schedule - Whether you memorize, take a screen shot, a picture of it or print some old school copies, make sure you know your schedule!  If you have multiple dances, be sure to write down the order you need to put your costumes on in, so you're prepared and ready when the time comes!

We are very excited for you to see how much your dancer has grown this past year or for you to experience for the first time. We do everything we can to make your experience stress free!
