Mary Alice Dietz

Over 50 Years ago, Mary Alice opened a small one-room dance studio in Orchard Park. With her love and devotion for dance, it has grown into the thriving business it is today. Dancing since the age of 3, Mary Alice continues to share her talents with hundreds of students every day. Through the years she has had the honor of working with the best in the business, including tap legend Miss Beverly Fletcher, whom she studied closely with for many years. Mary Alice is a member of Dance Members of America and keeps her teaching styles up to date by attending regional and national dance conventions, tap fests and Broadway Dance Center. Specializing in Tap, her many awards include most entertaining choreography, best Tap group, numerous over-all high scores and she is the five-time recipient of the teacher of the year award at the Rochester Invitational, as well as a Critic's Choice winner at NYCDA. MA also has her Masters in Education from Buffalo State College, is a member of the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce and is a well-known figure in her community. Many of her dancers have gone on to pursue professional careers in the dance field, due to MA's inspirational teaching and guidance. While demanding discipline, MA creates a fun, nurturing atmosphere for children to grow into mature young adults. Over the years she has touched the lives of thousands of children and there are still many more to come. She is on the board of Dancers Give Back and cannot thank the area dance community enough for their love and support. Mary Alice credits her daughter, Ali with being the catalyst for an idea long overdue. We all need to be the change we wish to see in the world~

Mary Alice is especially proud of her amazing family. To Bucky, Corey and Ali...I love you with all my heart !!
